Railway authorities have initiated key infrastructure upgrade works at Vadodara Railway Station to improve passenger safety, capacity, and overall travel experience. One of the major developments includes the extension of a station platform, allowing longer trains to halt smoothly and reducing congestion during peak travel hours.
Alongside the platform expansion, drainage and maintenance improvements are being carried out to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season. Enhanced lighting, better passenger movement planning, and safety-focused upgrades are also part of the ongoing work.
Officials stated that these improvements aim to support Vadodara’s role as an important railway junction in Gujarat, handling high passenger volumes and long-distance trains. The upgrades are expected to make boarding and alighting more convenient while strengthening the station’s infrastructure for future growth.
Once completed, the modernization efforts will significantly enhance comfort and operational efficiency for daily commuters and long-distance travelers passing through Vadodara.
